I am Keila Silva, the founder of My Post-Op Nurse. My path into this industry is more than just a career; it is a lifelong mission. Growing up in Brazil, I first felt the heavy emotional weight of cosmetic surgery when I was just 11 years old. After raising five children, my mother sought a procedure to reclaim her self-esteem. Tragically, a lack of proper pre- and post-operative care led to devastating, life-threatening complications.
Witnessing her vulnerability ignited a fire within me. I vowed to master the science of healing so I could protect other women from ever experiencing that kind of fear.
After completing four years of biology studies in Brazil, I moved to the United States in my early 20s. I embraced a new culture, mastered a new language, and re-entered college, ultimately graduating nursing school with honors. My clinical foundation was forged in the demanding, high-stakes environment of a Level 1 Trauma hospital. Caring for patients recovering from complex orthopedic, neurological, and plastic surgeries honed my ability to handle any situation with precision and absolute calm.
I realized my true calling was to bring that elite, hospital-grade safety into the private, luxurious space of cosmetic recovery. That vision is why I founded My Post-Op Nurse.
Today, we specialize in comprehensive pre- and post-operative care for plastic surgery, as well as prenatal and postnatal wellness. We believe every step of your journey—from the initial planning to the final day of healing—should be as seamless as the transformation itself.
